This wine is dense, it sports a gorgeous Ruby purple intense, with purple reflections.
The nose, pleasant and complex, exhale after breathing in the aromas of violets and cassis. Then there are the notes of spices, dominated by licorice on a gently wooded background.
On the palate the wine shows dense and concentrated, with aromas of black fruit, tapenade, violet and spices. The structure is strong with sweet fine tannins and overall, harmonious and round, seduced by a balance managed on the richness of the material.
The final, spicy and nicely wooded, ends on a good length with a hint of minerality, guarantee of a good aging potential.
The Combier field is without context one of the flagship of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation areas, with the very famous: Clos of thrushes.
The latter comes from the oldest vineyards and represents one of the finest wines of the appellation.
The field includes 20 hectares of vineyards, of which 90%are in red.
Always talkative on his wines, Laurent cultivate simplicity and says a love of terroir that makes him the best of the ways producing ripe, healthy grapes real starting point for obtaining of a great wine.
