Le vignoble

Alexandre Bain

Alexandre Bain produces with the greatest passion authentic whites, reflecting their vintage and their terroir.

André and Michel Quénard

Guillaume Quénard is now the leader of the estate. He is beginning to make his mark with more straightforward, fine wines of superb balance.

Anne and J-F Ganevat

Antoine-Marie Arena

What the RVF says in its 2018 Guide:

Belliviere

"Éric et Christine Nicolas, rejoints par leur fils Clément, incarnent la référence des vins de la Sarthe en continuant de les positionner à leur plus haut niveau. Leur conduite du vignoble de 15 hecares, partiellement en biodynamie, se révèle irréprochable.

Camin Larredya

Jurançon with a dizzying complexity!

Chantegrive

Christophe Peyrus

Christophe Peyrus, of the famous Clos Marie, is continuing his ascent with the acquisition of this new estate in the Pic Saint-Loup hills at Cazevieille.

Clos Canarelli

Yves Canarelli never ceases to amaze us and continues to raise the profile of Corsican wines, unquestionably belonging to the elite of Mediterranean winegrowers.

Clos des Grillons - Nicolas Renaud

Clos du Rouge-Gorge

One of the great artisan-winemakers of the whole of France!

Clos Joliette

Count Abbatucci

In the Taravo valley, not far from Propriano, the Comte Abbatucci estate continues to shine through its contribution to the revaluation of Corsican native grape varieties.

Didier Dagueneau

The quintessence of Sauvignon...

Ferrand

Discover this exceptional nugget of the Southern Rhône...

François Chidaine

François Chidaine is now one of the greatest winemakers in the Loire region, and by extension in France, recognised by his peers for his talent as a winemaker but also for his mastery of biodynamic principles.

François Mossu

Giachino

The vineyard of the brothers David and Frédéric, the Giac brothers as they are known, is made up of about ten hectares overlooking the Isère valley.

Henri Bonneau

The legend of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and its now mythical vintages...

Out of Scope

The New Don(n)e

The Saint John Gate

The Domaine La Porte Saint-Jean is beginning to build a solid reputation on the web, on starred tables and for export. Sylvain Dittière is the son-in-law of the late Charly Foucault (Clos Rougeard).

Labet

"Julien Labet, with the help of his brother and sister, has taken over his father Alain's vineyards, which are now grouped together under a single entity: Domaine Labet. (...) Numerous micro-parcels (between 15 and 80 ares, often from old vines) are vinified by Julien, both in white (all ouillés) and in red, the latter being perhaps the most exceptional to be born today in the region. Sulphur levels are very low but the balance is impossible to fault in the wines. The estate is now one of the spearheads of the Jura revival." RVF Guide 2018

Le Puy

The Amoreau family has been cultivating its vineyards since 1610, located on a rocky plateau, identical to that of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. The fifty year old vines are cultivated according to the biodynamic method, which contributes to the singularity of the estate and stands out among all the Bordeaux crus.

Le Roc des Anges

One of the great rising stars of the French wine industry...

Léon Barral

Didier Barral continues his work begun in the 1990s. On the schists of Lenthéric, he and his brother make wines in search of authenticity that perfectly reflect the typicity of this terroir.

The Soulier Brothers

The Forgotten Vines

"Une poignée des meilleurs vignerons du Languedoc, hélas trop peu, redécouvrent les vertus du cinsault, un vieux cépage dont on a fait des citernes de rosés, au demeurant parfois bons. Vinifié en rouge, c'est assurément le vin de soif par excellence et sa buvabilité hors pair peut se conjuguer, quand il est bien traité, à une profondeur étonnante.

Mai and Kenji Hodgson

Mas del Périé

Fabien Jouves takes the South West to a new style. The great talent of Cahors signs wines of great purity, natural, expressive and precise. To be discovered without further delay...

Michel Autran

Montcalmès

Frédéric Pourtalié has become a Languedoc icon. The Montcalmès vineyard covers an area of 23 hectares today; Syrah and Grenache on a limestone plateau and Mourvèdre on rolled pebbles. A blend has been produced since 1999, the one that made the reputation of the Domaine. It is aged for twenty-four months in barrels, in the purest tradition without fining or filtration, a cuvée of unfailing regularity.

Nugues

Olivier Pithon

"Avec d'entrée de jeu 3 étoiles, le domaine Olivier Pithon faisait il y a quelques années une entrée fracassante dans notre guide. Depuis, les vins continuent de nous convaincre d'année en année.

Peyre Rose

"S'il fallait donner synonyme à Peyre Rose, ce serait sûrement mille et une nuits tant les finales sont envoûtantes.

Pierre André

An exceptional heritage of old vines!

Pierre Ménard

A very talented winemaker to discover first...

Richard Leroy

Romain Le Bars

Rousset Peyraguey

Alain Dejean's wines from Domaine Rousset Peyraguey are made using biodynamic methods and are aged for a long period of time. They have incredible depth, freshness and complexity, and can easily compete with the greatest wines of the appellation... at prices that are, to say the least, honest...

Saint Nicholas

"Thierry Michon, supported by his sons, Antoine and Mickaël, runs the only estate of international stature in the Vendée. On the Atlantic terroir of Brem, he has vines cultivated entirely in biodynamic methods, whose yields have unfortunately been very low in recent years. Under the influence of the ocean, the vineyard produces whites of chenin and chardonnay (yellow stone fruits and saline finish), and reds of pinot noir aged for a long time (Jacques, La Grande Pièce), but also of gamay, negrette and cabernet franc. This eclecticism is reflected in wines that are constantly gaining in finesse, purity and intensity of fruit. Their natural balance, which is becoming more and more accomplished, makes them affordable when young, but they can age gracefully: don't hesitate to aerate them in a carafe. The brand new cellar will allow the trio of winemakers to further refine their cuvées." RVF Guide 2018

Sébastien David

Sébastien David's vines were mainly planted around 1940, with some plots being much older, planted long before the appellation was classified in 1937.

Guillaume Vineyard

Zind-Humbrecht

The Zind-Humbrecht estate, founded in 1959 by the union of the properties of Emile Zind and Zénon Humbrecht, has succeeded in becoming one of the leading French estates over the last few decades. Wine lovers all over the world recognise the exceptional quality of the terroirs and the work of the visionary Olivier Humbrecht, who succeeds in creating the finest Alsatian nuggets year after year.

Julien Delrieu

Muriel Giudicelli

"Voici encore un domaine de « femme corse » ! Muriel Giudicelli exploite avec autorité une propriété située au cœur du vignoble historique de Patrimonio, avec un pied dans l'aire d'appellation du Muscat du Cap Corse (son mari l'aide à la vigne depuis 2005).
