A highly prized Roussette... The exotic richness of the aromas echoes the glycerol content, with integrated sweetness, thanks to a vibrant acidity. The elements still need the passage of time to truly harmonise. A racy wine with a remarkably fine bouquet.

Roussette is made from the Altesse grape variety. It goes wonderfully well with freshwater fish.

This Roussette "Altesse" has a beautiful acidity in attack, then power and delicacy confer a persistence in mouth. On the nose, a little violet after aeration, smoky and fruity on the palate.

This Roussette can be drunk or kept for a few years to gain in roundness for 5 to 7 years.

It will be appreciated as an aperitif or on the table with a lake fish, a cheese platter made with Tomme de Savoie and Beaufort, a fish starter with a suce à la carte.it will be appreciated as an aperitif or on the table with lake fish, a cheese platter made with Tomme de Savoie and Beaufort, a fish starter with a cream-based suce, asparagus or raw vegetables with mousseline sauces, or with Savoyard dishes such as raclette or tartiflette.

Aged for almost a year in casks and stored for a year after bottling.

All the grapes are harvested by hand, then pressed and the fermentation starts with the yeasts present on the grapes, without any external addition. Very little sulphite is added.

These choices of vinification and maturation give body and aroma to this wine and this natural wine is even more expressive after a few years of cellaring.

The Estate Dupasquier

"Located near Jongieux in the picturesque village of Aimavigne, at the foot of the vertiginous Marestel hillside, the Dupasquier family has been cultivating their vines for five generations with good reason (grassing down, no synthetic products). (...) The Roussette Marestel is the great wine of the estate, capable of improving over 30 to 40 years of ageing in good vintages with an astonishing diversity of flavours, without losing its freshness. With a little rebalancing, the estate could quickly climb up our hierarchy..." RVF Guide 2018

The Estate Le Versant
