Ce Cahors La Roque dévoile un nez de fruits noirs (mûre), épices, vanille... Sa bouche est riche, mais avec une belle acidité sur une dominante de fruits des bois et dans un style floral et sapide.
Terroir : sol calcaire sidérolithique. Sommet de côteaux 350 m d’altitude. Âge moyen des vignes : 30 ans.
Vinification et élevage : vendanges manuelles. Vinification naturelle, égrappage, cuvaison 30 jours. Puis élevage en amphore 200 à 800 litres durant 6 mois. Non collé non filtré.
Accords mets/vin : viande rouge grillée, foie gras, magret de canard.
