A huge Port!

  • Nose:

A very complex bouquet: lots of rancio, roasted and cigar box aromas, with hints of wood and honey.

  • Palate:

A very powerful and complex mouthfeel with a palate made of fruity wood that evokes dried fruits (apricot and Damascus plum, tobacco)

  • Colour:

A tawny/copper colour with amber notes.

  • Finish:

The texture is remarkably velvety and the aromatic persistence impressive

Andresen Distillery :

From the arid lands of the Douro, which endure scorching summers and harsh winters, sumptuous wines are born, so different from each other that the discovery is inexhaustible.

History of the House :

Joao Henrique Andresen was born on 29 January 1826 on the North Sea island of Fohr.
At the age of 14, like many Danes, he embarked on a sailing ship.
Porto, his first destination, would be his last.
He fell in love with the city and decided to adopt Portuguese nationality, thus starting a new life.
Already in 1845, this enterprising young man founded the Port House that still bears his name.

The Estate Andresen
