This Port is quite deep in colour with more garnet tones on the rim of the glass.On the nose it is complex with notes of red and black candied fruit as well as a light note of hazelnut and figs. Sweet spices, cinnamon, vanilla arrive with aeration.On the palate, the attack is smooth and sweet with intense flavours of jammy red fruit and dried fruit.The finish is liquorice and toasted with a long persistence.

Joao Henrique Andresen was born on 29 January 1826 on the North Sea island of Fohr.
At the age of 14, like many Danes, he embarked on a sailing ship.
Porto, his first destination, would be his last.
He fell under its spell and decided to adopt Portuguese nationality, thus beginning a new life.
Already in 1845, this enterprising young man founded the Port House that still bears his name.

The Estate Andresen
La maison Andresen a été établie en 1845 à Vila Nova da Gaia par Jann Hinrich Andresen, un jeune danois. Jusqu'au début de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale, la maison prospérait. Cependant, confrontés à la crise économique, en 1942, les héritiers ont cédé l'entreprise familiale à Albino Pereira dos Santos. Figure emblématique dans le monde des vins de Porto, il a insufflé une nouvelle énergie à cette marque centenaire.
