already a great port!

  • NOSE :

The nose is powerful, balsamic, marked by red fruits, kirsch, with peppery and viandic notes, all on a beautiful tannic structure.

  • PALATE :

On the palate, a beautiful chewiness marked by tannins. The wine is powerful, with a dominant of candied black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, myrtle...) with sunny accents
    .

  • COLOUR :

On tasting, it has a deep red colour, very "Burgundian".

  • FINISH :

The warm and greedy finish is a concentrate of red fruits (burlat cherry), slightly peppery.
Its great length announces a very promising evolution, with an ageing potential of more than 20 years
Served at 18° C, it will go well with a mountain tomme and its cherry jam spiced with Sechouan pepper, a calf's liver with cherries, a tart or a crumble with red fruits, or a tiramisu
    with red fruits

Alcohol content: 20°.

MORE INFORMATION:

Andresen Distillery :

From the arid lands of the Douro, which suffer torrid summers and harsh winters, sumptuous wines are born, so different from each other that the discovery is inexhaustible.

History of the House :

Joao Henrique Andresen was born on 29 January 1826 on the North Sea island of Fohr.
At the age of 14, like many Danes, he embarked on a sailing ship.
Porto, his first destination, would be his last.
He fell in love with the city and decided to adopt Portuguese nationality, thus starting a new life.
Already in 1845, this enterprising young man founded the Port House that still bears his name.

The Estate Andresen
