A unique infused style in the Bordeaux region. A little marvel of softness and delicacy.

Emilien is distinguished by its infusion, its brightness and its freshness, surprising for the vintage. The nose is evanescent, very floral, reminiscent of macerated red fruits and clay. The palate is sapid and delicious.

Intense and limpid colour, with notes of black fruit, mainly blackcurrant, black cherry and blueberry. The mouth is generous and fleshy, velvety and complex, offering great drinkability and generosity.

The Puy 2015 Cuvée Emilien is made from planted vines. It is composed of 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Carménère, all grown in a very sustainable way. The vinification process in the Amoreau family is special: the grapes are placed whole in a concrete vat, a few staves hold back the cap and the fermenting juice overflows at the top onto a sort of concrete terrace on which it cools down, then returns naturally to the vat; a very natural thermo-regulation and oxygenation...

Emilien, unfiltered, is the natural accompaniment to both family cuisine and the most delicate dishes.

The Estate Le Puy

The Amoreau family has been cultivating its vineyards since 1610, located on a rocky plateau, identical to that of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. The fifty year old vines are cultivated according to the biodynamic method, which contributes to the singularity of the estate and stands out among all the Bordeaux crus. The wines are fine and delicate, made from grapes that are always picked when fully ripe. Wines that are pleasant when young thanks to the supple structure of the tannins, but capable of defying the passage of time in the greatest vintages, up to thirty years or more... For lovers of round, velvety, complex and natural Bordeaux wines, Château le Puy is sure to delight you for a long time.
