Un raffinement exemplaire dans ce chef d'oeuvre velouté et floral (épices douces, rose fanée). Les tanins sont d'une élégance superlative, tout en dentelles et la persistance exceptionnelle... Le grand terroir du domaine, coteaux Nord, sur des gneiss à biotite.

Tout est remarquable dans ce vin : son parfum, la délicatesse de son toucher, sa rémanence... L'équilibre entre pulpe et finesse paraît idéal et le caractère du lieu omniprésent. Encore dans sa prime jeunesse, il possède les caractéristiques nécessaires pour définir le plus grand rouge catalan possible.

L’Ubac est la cuvée issue du grand terroir du domaine, des gneiss à micas noir, une parcelle face nord, comme son nom l’indique, avec une palette de cépages intéressante et complémentaire :

Cinsault, Carignan et Grenache de 50 à 110 ans. 

12 mois d’élevage en foudre de 10 hl.

Un vin d’une grande ampleur, une matière riche et élégante à la fois. Prenez le temps de le savourer, il a plein de choses à raconter !

The Estate Rouge-Gorge

One of the great artisan-winemakers of the whole of France! Cyril Fhal settled in Latour de France in the Roussillon region on gneiss and schist terroirs. Cultivated biodynamically with extreme care and derisory yields, the vines of a total surface of 6 hectares produce wines of a rare purity, of a crazy elegance, infused nectars, all in subtlety and without any deficit of power, quite the contrary. Rare balances... We should not promote them too much because the bottles are precious, but passion prevails over reason... How can we not highlight such a talent?

The Estate Le Clos du Caillou

The Clos du Caillou estate has the particularity of being an enclave adjacent to the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation area. The vineyard is made up of 44 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and 9 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape, planted for the most part in 1956. It is composed of the 13 grape varieties authorised for the production of a Châteauneuf du Pape, the Grenache grape variety is the majority for the red wines, followed by Syrah, while the clairette rose, the grenache blanc and the roussanne share the majority of the white grape varieties. The soils here are particularly rich, sandy or pebbly, making it possible to produce wines of exemplary aromatic complexity.
All these specificities, gathered at the heart of the Clos du Caillou estate, allow us to offer very high quality Côtes du Rhône wines, such as the magnificent Quartz vintage, which demonstrates the richness of these exceptional terroirs. In addition, Sylvie Vacheron and Bruno Gaspard have been converting the estate to organic farming since 2006. The 2010 vintage was the first to benefit from the organic label (AB), which completes the quality of the work undertaken for decades. An estate to be followed closely, with all the qualities to produce the best...
