Morgon Côte du Py
Jean-Marc Burgaud's Morgon Côte du Py comes from scattered parcels. It has very well defined tannins and a charming aroma of red fruits (black cherry) with scents of cranberry, pomegranate and fresh peony. A wine full of breed.
A long maceration of the whole grapes gives a powerful wine that matures over the years. Bottled in the spring, it will be necessary to be patient for it to express its power.
This is the most typical climate of the Morgon appellation due to the nature of the soil on the Py hill, which is rich in blue stones: schist, decomposing rock, iron oxide and manganese. The vines are south-facing, and produce a well-structured, tannic, highly coloured wine with black fruit aromas (blackberries, cherries). Our recommendations When and how to serve it?
