Morgon Côte du Py (étiquette et cire abimée)
Vin rouge majestueux et gourmand. Un grand classique de morgon, toujours au sommet. On est séduit par la profondeur du Côte du Py, qui donne l'impression de respirer les pierres chaudes et les volcans. La bouche est serrée avec des tanins étirés. La magnifique finale de ce vin de grande garde évoque les agrumes et les fruits bleus.
Ce vin est tout simplement sublime. Les vieux Gamay profitent du terroir exceptionnel de la Côte du Py, ce qui apporte profondeur et minéralité. Arômes de griotte mêlées de pivoine, belle structure et longue finale apporté par une parfaite maîtrise de l'élevage d'un an en fûts.
Une bouteille d'épicuriens-amateurs de Beaujolais, qui rivalisera à l'aveugle avec de nombreux grands bourgognes de la Côtes de Nuit.

Jean Foillard fait parti de ces vignerons qui ont fait la réputation des Grands Beaujolais. Ce membre de la "bande à Marcel" (Lapierre) produit essentiellement des vins de Morgon sur 8 hectares. Il pratique une viticulture propre et vinifie ses vins en macération carbonique traditionnelle du Beaujolais. Peu ou pas de filtration et un minimum de soufre, le résultat: des vins sincères réalisés par un personnage attachant, humble et bourré de talent.
