Le nom Maltroie serait dérivé du terme latin "marturetum" et serait lié à une ancienne nécropole romaine. C'est dans ce lieu que le domaine de la Vougeraie crée un nectar d'une grâce et d'une finesse mémorable. Ce grand vin est à la fois ciselé et énergique, captivant les sens et prolongeant son empreinte en bouche avec une grande persistance.

Terroir : sols bruns calcaires avec alternance de bancs marneux argilo-calcaire. Vignes situées sur le Coteau à 245m d’altitude exposée Est.

Vinification et élevage : Pressurage au pressoir pneumatique en grappes entières pendant 2 heures 30. Débourbage : 12 heures. Départ de la fermentation en cuve inox et fin en fûts. L'élevage se fait ensuite durant 16 mois en fût et 2 mois en cuve inox (dont 20% en fûts neufs). 

Accords mets/vin : terrine de saumon citron aneth, noix de Saint-Jacques, poulet aux écrevisses.

The Estate La Vougeraie

With the Domaine de la Vougeraie, we enter the very closed circle of the greatest wines of Burgundy. The impetus of the Boisset family and the choices made since 1999 have propelled the estate to an impressive level of excellence. The Vougeraie estate now covers 34 hectares, two thirds of which are in the Côte de Nuits and one third in the Côte de Beaune, 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay, with a production of around 100,000 bottles depending on the vintage. The name Vougeraie comes from Vougeot, which is why the estate owns 10 hectares of it... The estate is judiciously located in Premeaux-Prissey between the two hillsides, and has made the natural choice of biodynamic viticulture, 29 hectares of which adopt this method of cultivation which favours life in the vineyard and wines of obvious purity. To achieve optimum results, yields have been drastically reduced to harvest grapes that are always ripe and concentrated, often in whole harvests, and the team's winemaking work is ultra-precise, combining ancestral techniques with modern technology.
