Ce Riesling Roche Granitique arbore une couleur jaune paille. Son nez est puissant, sur des notes d'agrumes et de fruits blancs. Comme de nombreux vins du millésime 2020, sa puissance confère une certaine austérité aromatique, et il est recommandé de l'aérer longuement à l'ouverture. En bouche, on ressent immédiatement la belle maturité des raisins. La puissance aromatique est en adéquation avec l'ampleur du palais, donnant un vin remarquable. Dès l'ouverture, la bouche offre une expression complexe, alliant des notes de granite et de fruits mûrs. Les tanins typiques du millésime s'associent à l'acidité pour donner une texture tendue en finale. Bien que très sec, ce vin charmeur ne manquera pas de vous séduire.
Terroir : vignes situées sur le Grand Cru Brand et seules les vignes les plus vieilles sont revendiquées en Grand Cru Brand. Toutes les autres, sont déclassées dans cette cuvée qui trouve donc son origine sur un terroir granitique, drainant, chaud et précoce. Sans avoir la signature des vins du Grand Cru, on retrouve toutefois toutes les caractéristiques propres à cette typologie de sol. A savoir une certaine maturité et richesse, une expression de fruit et un vin ouvert jeune, une acidité mûre et moins agressive, une minéralité fine.

Today, the vineyard of the Zind-Humbrecht estate covers 41.1 hectares with a plantation divided between 30% Gewurztraminer, 30% Pinot gris, 30% Riesling, 7% Pinot blanc and 3% Muscat.
