Colour: old gold with green highlights.
Nose: firm, lively. A mixture of frangipane, heady flowers (iris, honeysuckle), candied citrus fruits (lemon, orange) and salt, it is particularly powerful. It evolves on vanilla, new oak and on mentholated and herbaceous notes (fresh tobacco). Finally, the liquorice borders on oily peat and the gentian gives it a pleasant bitterness.
Palate: soft, balanced. The spices (clove, nutmeg) are brought to the fore and become more powerful. Praline and dried fruits (almond, cashew nut) calm its ardour. From now on, ripe fruits (pear, apple), vanilla and exotic fruits (pineapple, persimmon) can express themselves freely. The citrus fruits are bursting with sugar.
Finish: long, tender. It lingers on freshly cut grass, star anise and green liquorice. The peat is only a memory. Gourmand, it continues on mocha, acacia honey and spearmint. Its saline character gradually takes over.
