Crystal clear, pure, a great Loire Chenin! This long-lasting cuvée profiles a near-perfect juice, deep, offering ideal grape maturity and diabolical energy. An ultra-sensual, full and taut Chenin. The wine is perfectly matured and underlined. The nose and palate are in complete harmony with ripe yellow fruit (candied lemon, pineapple) and white flowers, and a saline tension of the finest effect. A great wine that deserves to wait to become even more complex...
A cuvée in homage to Thibaud's mother, Françoise, who died far too soon, and to his father François. A dazzling, electric Chenin, full of tension and persistence.
From a parcel of vines planted in the early 1980s in St-Lambert-du-Lattay, planted at 8000 vines/ha on shallow grey schist and rhyolite soils.
Fermented on indigenous yeasts in 500L barrels and600L ovalAustrian (Stockinger) barrels, including some 300L cigars, used todevelop the complexity of the lees. Aged in demi-muids and 700L (30% new) for 15 to 18 months.
