'T Voetpad
T'Voetpad is made from vines planted in 1887. A blend of Sémillon Blanc and Gris, Palomino, Chenin Blanc and Muscat, it has a very complex nose of fennel, tarragon and resinous aromas, which develops after aeration. On the palate it is slightly full-bodied with a slightly honeyed texture, a hint of white pepper and a very well balanced and complex finish that lingers on the palate.
The name means "path" in Afrikaner, a language spoken in South Africa and derived from Dutch. The nose develops beautiful tropical aromas of grapefruit and guava with hints of rose petals and more traditional notes of strawberry and cherry. Not sure if it's new world or old world. It is a complex, balanced and unique wine.
