To wait wisely. Nice bouquet, still discreet, of black fruits and blueberries. Beautiful harmony on the palate with velvety but still tight tannins. Spicy, ripe and sappy, tense, fresh and floral, with a nice mellow volume. Sharp, the tannins show relief on the finish but will be able to integrate.
This estate is located on the beautiful slopes of the village of Arbin, the preferred terroir for Mondeuse.
Joseph Trosset has just retired and the estate continues with Louis Trosset, alone at the helm on only 2 ha, since the area has just been reduced. The soils are worked, the vinification is carried out by plot, the fermentations remain classic and the maturation, in vats, lasts from 8 to 12 months. The Mondeuses have an incredible breed and are distinguished by their class and aromatic purity, often with an aniseed-flavoured freshness.
The very low volumes produced make this estate an address that is too confidential, but which produces wines of consistent quality and great ageing capacity.
