A lacy Cinsault... Don't wait any longer, come and savour the perfect match of a unique grape variety, Cinsault, on its favourite terroir; the Terrasses du Larzac, which offer it such a rare expression.

Colour: The colour is a luminous light ruby. It is accompanied by a gradient of cherry colour.

Nose: It impresses from the first approach by the elegance of its restitution. Very far from a generous, southern vision, the nose skilfully blends subtlety with a bewitching aromatic finesse. We find nuances of finely poached red fruits such as redcurrant and raspberry punctuated by greedy notes of candied rhubarb.

Aeration allows it to reveal all its brilliance and to reveal the strength and breed of one of the greatest Languedoc terroirs.

Palate: It is really at this moment that the Cinsault expresses itself and takes on its full dimension. From the very first steps on the palate, Pradel delivers a silky, chiselled texture of great delicacy.

The accuracy of its maturation gives the Cinsault a grain of tannin that skilfully combines concentration and accuracy of touch.

In addition to these gustatory sensations, the palette continues to be enriched to deliver, sparingly, scents of teak, exotic fruits but also a whole universe of sweet spices with southern consonances. Persistence lasts and lasts

The most passionate amateurs can open the first bottles now, thinking of decanting it, but rest assured, it will be enriched by a possible evolution in the cellar of 5 to 7 years. Be sure to serve it at 16° at the table

Terroir

Soils of rolled pebbles and clay-limestone located on the places called "la Terrasse" and "les Graves".

Principles of organic farming and biodynamics

In the cellar

In the cellar, the vinification is traditional, with indigenous yeasts and without too much extraction. The harvest is crushed as little as possible. This L'Enclos vintage is aged in barrels for 12 months. The wines are then unfiltered and only lightly sulphured.

The Estate

Xavier Braujou created the Terrasse d'Elise estate in 1998 by building up a vineyard of around ten hectares on the great terroirs of Aniane. His vines are planted with Carignan, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault.

By dint of hard work and passion, he has succeeded in putting in place all the components needed to produce authentic wines, true to their origin. All the Terrasse d'Elise vintages are produced with manual harvesting, from old vines with very small but concentrated yields of 20 to 25hl/ha. The wines are of exceptional finesse, elegance, smoothness, freshness and aromatics for the region... The vintages, all labelled IGP vin de pays de l'Hérault, assert the identity of their terroir and some have the particularity of being mono-varietal to reveal the intrinsic quality of the grape variety.A domain to follow very closely...

The Estate La Terrasse d'Elise
