A Pouilly Fuissé aged with 20% new barrels. The style is strangely reminiscent of the great appellations of the Côte de Beaune in an airy style that is still a little restrained but very promising... Concentration, finesse of tannins and great balance are there for a very great bottle in a few years.

The Estate Jules Desjourneys

After having worked alongside the greatest Burgundian names (Jean-Yves Bizot, Christophe Perrot-Minot, Arnaud Ente...) Fabien Duperray decided to bring out his own work by creating the Domaine Jules Desjourneys, in homage to and with the vision of the pioneer of natural wine Jules Chauvet. The wines are immediately impressive in their class, depth and breed, thanks to the titanic work carried out in the vineyard and the cellar. We had never seen wines of such density in Beaujolais in this stunningly aesthetic style... The passion for great Burgundies is always in the mind of our talented and tenacious Fabien Duperray, and he continues his journey by acquiring a few judiciously placed parcels in the Mâconnais in Pouilly Fuissé, Pouilly Vinzelles and Saint Véran, always with the aim of making the best possible wine, biodynamically, with the utmost precision in the vineyard and the cellar... Great Chardonnays, intense, deep, with an overwhelming energy and vibration..
