Magnum Les Bournais
A reference to Montlouis! The exotic touch of the Bournais appears in the nuanced aromas of pineapple and mango. The freshness of the Loire takes over on the palate with a very delicate texture.
This cuvée offers a very beautiful aromatic power, expressing itself on the nose with notes of white fruits and exotic scents.
A nice amplitude on the palate, with length, which ends with a saline finish, all in subtlety and delicacy.
To enjoy this wine, we recommend decanting it for one hour before serving it chilled at between 10°C and 12°C.
Ideal as an aperitif, this wine is also the perfect accompaniment to a cheese, charcuterie or fish platter.
François Chidaine started with a few hectares of vines in Montlouis-sur-Loire in 1989. Passionate, he managed to make the most of each plot thanks to his perseverance. He diversified his vintages and began to take an interest in organic farming. In 1999, with the support of his wife Manuela, he turned to biodynamic farming. His cousin Nicolas Martin joined the team 3 years later. This trio extended the Domaine François Chidaine by acquiring a vineyard in Vouvray.
Les Bournais is a white wine made from the Chenin blanc grape. The vines are grown on a terroir of clay and limestone, starting from the Loire River in Lussault sur Loire. The grapes are harvested by hand, accompanied by successive sorting. The wine is then matured on fine lees in demi-muids for 5 to 6 months.
