Proudly bearing the name of its Lorraine town of origin, the Mirabelle de Nancy is reputed to be one of the very best mirabelles.
The mirabelle is a species of plum that has been cultivated in France since the 15th century. When fully ripe, the fruit measures up to three centimetres and has a golden yellow colour, slightly red on the side exposed to the sun.
It is highly prized by connoisseurs and connoisseurs alike for its typical, delicate plum flavour.
These mirabelles are grown in the Weinviertel wine-growing area in Austria under ideal climatic conditions. The ripe, healthy and carefully picked fruit is macerated on the day it is harvested.
After the stones have been sieved and the natural fermentation process is complete without any additives, the 100% pure fruit mash is distilled twice with great care in the distillery's copper still.
The precious "coeur de chauffe" is then aged for a minimum of nine years in open glass casks to reach its full maturity.
The eau-de-vie thus slowly evolves to become a noble spirit

- Give it time with extended ageing to obtain fully developed eaux-de-vie. Once distilled, these eaux-de-vie are aged for many years in order to develop the unique harmony and aromatic expression that characterise them
