Bandol Rosé - Etiquette légèrement abimée
The nose is expressive, pleasant and complex, revealing notes of vine peach, apricot, citrus, grape, lilac and spices. On the palate, the attack is frank, followed by a nice roundness where peach flavours mingle with citrus notes. Freshness! The finish, long and harmonious, offers a very beautiful aromatic intensity, still dominated by peach and spice flavours.
The Tempier estate, in Bandol AOC, was founded in 1834. The Peyraud family (Lucie Tempier and her husband, Lucien Peyraud), since 1936, have been the defenders of the Bandol appellation, based on Mourvèdre. The vineyard, which already existed under Louis XIV, covers 38 hectares and is located on the Plan du Castellet, spread over several plots, between the sea and steep, sun-drenched slopes. The Domaine Tempier, today managed by Daniel Ravier, has remained faithful to tradition while bringing in modernity, but remains the reference for Bandol.
Food pairings: Provencal cuisine, grilled meats, salads, sea urchins, shellfish, fish soup or bouillabaisse.
