The Bellivière estate covers 13 hectares in the Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir appellations. The plots of land are located in 5 communes (Lhomme, Ruillé sur Loir, Chahaignes, Marçon and Dissay sous Courcillon) and offer the different terroirs that make up the richness and diversity of the estate's wines.
The vines are cultivated (ploughing, scraping, etc.), including the old vines. Plot by plot and little by little, the in-depth work allows us to observe a natural resistance that the estate is constantly improving and chose 2008 to convert the entire vineyard to biodynamic agriculture.
The harvest is entirely manual and the yields are resolutely moderate.
The massal selection plantings are deliberately designed to be high density, more qualitative, in order to better occupy our rare and valuable terroirs.
VARIETIES: - Chenin 100%. Old vines over 50 years old. TERROIR: - Flinty clay on tuff. Parcels facing south/southwest to south/southeast in the Jasnières crescent. Slopes overlooking the Loir.
VITICULTURE: - Soil work: ploughing, dethatching and scraping. No weeding. - Maximum yield 35 hl/ha. Manual harvesting.
VINIFICATION: - Natural in barrels. - The balance obtained is the work of nature.
SERVING: - Decant preferably. - Serve at 9-13°C
