The Trevallon estate is located in the commune of Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, 25 km south of Avignon and 7 km west of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, on the northern slopes of the Alpilles. A limestone massif with jagged ridges reminiscent of "Greek rocks" as the Provençal poet Frédéric Mistral wrote. The vine is perfectly integrated into this bewitching landscape of garrigue. It stands alongside holm oaks, olive trees and almond trees.
The first thing that strikes the visitor on arriving at the Domaine de Trevallon is the bright white limestone rock, with its shattered shapes, cut out against the transparent sky. The contrast is impressive between the vines, which have been carefully tended, and the wild folds of the rock. The Alpilles is a magical place," admits Eloi Dürrbach. I literally fell in love with it.
The Trevallon vineyard extends over 20 hectares in this living and preserved nature, scattered around a farmhouse with sky-blue shutters: 15 hectares of reds composed of equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. And 2 ha of white wines made up of 45% Marsanne, 45% Roussanne and 10% Chardonnay.
