This is an Aloxe-Corton 1er cru that is a little on the fringe of the appellation's standards, as the finesse of the tannins makes it more characteristic of the wines produced in the Côte de Nuits.
The wines of this terroir are fine, the very chalky soils offering a beautiful elegance and tension. They are characterised by a beautiful purity and great finesse which do not forget however to offer a beautiful length.

This vineyard is located in the heart of the village of Ladoix Serrigny at the foot of the south-eastern slope of the Corton hill below the Corton Vergennes.
The soil is thin to thick with a clay texture and moderate stoniness. It is derived from the alteration of the limestone of the Comblanchien formation. This type of soil leads the vine's root system to develop more horizontally than deeply.
The grapes are harvested by hand and 100% de-stemmed.
3 weeks of fermentation with very gentle extraction and little punching down.
50% new oak barrels are used for a period of 20 months.
