Gran Tinto" is a wine made from 51% Malbec, 44% Tannat, 5% Syrah.
Located in the Ica Valley, 50 kms from the Pacific Ocean and 300 kms south of Lima, Domaine Tacama is surrounded by desert and gravelly soil. The winds, called "Paracas", are powerful and drying and particularly adapted to the vine.
Tacama has been using French know-how since the 1920s (French barrels, French winemakers) and this typically Peruvian vineyard produces some of the best wines in the country.
