Hommage

An intense nose of nuts and sultanas and a balanced palate with a very long finish of dried fruit.

"A ruddy colour. The passerelle aspect is felt. The hint of kumquat and a note of citrus zest give it a lot of class. Its subtle aromatic palette is underlined by a hint of menthol revealed by the muscat when aged. The palate is not overly sweet. The wine has a nice amplitude. This mysterious wine comes from another age. It pays homage to Louis Castaud and his wine from the 1930s.

It is usually a blend of 5 different old vintages, assembled before bottling.

This Muscat has an amazing colour, the same copper tones as the normal cuvée, but darker.
Its bouquet is infinitely complex and deep, with notes of orange blossom, walnuts, sultanas, dried bananas, sultanas and a touch of caramel.
Its mouth is rich and deep.

Serve chilled between 7 and 8°C

Food pairing : This wine can be enjoyed on its own at the end of a meal or with almond crunchies, pastry tuiles, chocolate and dried fruit.
