The Estate La Rectorie
Since 1984, Marc and Thierry Parcé have been perpetuating the history of the family vineyard with the Domaine de la Rectorie, which was started by their great-grandmother Thérèse Reig. Based in Banyuls, between the sea and the mountains, the two brothers produce Banyuls and Collioure wines of very high quality, without doubt the best in the region, always marked by a striking balance
The Domaine de la Rectorie covers some thirty hectares on thirty separate plots of land, ranging in altitude from zero for the vines on the sea side to 400 metres for the vines cultivated on the mountain side.
The wines are made from the original grape varieties, Grenache gris, whites and reds, complemented by Carignan, Syrah and Counoise, notably for the great mountain-side cuvée.
The cultivation methods have always been very traditional, helped by the nature of the very demanding slopes and, in any case, by the Parcé brothers' desire and passion to do everything possible to capture the authenticity of the terroir.
This rigour in the management of the vines added to very low yields, of the order of only 20 to 25 hectolitres per hectare, and irreproachable vinification, allow us to produce vintage after vintage of great Roussillon wines, regularly acclaimed by the critical press.
The wines of Domaine de la Rectorie are perfect companions for gastronomy. We can't recommend these magnificent Banyuls over dark chocolate desserts, which go perfectly with the character of the Grenache, and the Collioure with fine cuts of meat and spicy dishes. Enjoy these Roussillon nectars in moderation.
