Colour: purple with pretty violet hues.
Nose: spicy, black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry, etc.) with hints of aniseed and liquorice.
Palate: very fine texture with a hint of freshness.

More than any other winemaker in the Languedoc, Olivier Jullien is admired and respected by his peers; he is one of the main architects of the renaissance of rigorous viticulture in the region, seeking a nuanced combination of soils and varied indigenous grape varieties, in red and white, on the terraces of Larzac. The sincerity of this visionary who shuns competition is reflected in his wines, which are deep, digestible and generous, southern in their intensity and variety of flavours, not simply in the ripeness of the grapes and their illusory richness in alcohol. Fresh, full-bodied reds, carefully matured, but also a magnificent white that is out of fashion, capable of shining for more than fifteen years of ageing. The wines of this estate are now a reference.

Located in Jonquières, about forty kilometres north of Montpellier, the estate covers about fifteen hectares. Olivier Jullien works numerous micro-parcels spread over a vast area on the high terraces of the Hérault. The soil is mainly clay with limestone pebbles, but some plots are also composed of silica or sandstone, which leads to an enormous diversity of expression.
