The Marcel Deiss estate is undoubtedly one of the most exciting estates. Located in Bergheim in the heart of the most beautiful Alsatian terroirs, the family estate now has 27 hectares of vines on 220 separate plots where three Grand Crus and nine Premier Crus are produced each year. On these fabulous terroirs, Jean-Michel Deiss and his son Mathieu, winegrowers in the noblest sense of the word, are always looking for excellence, for the best possible combination between the grape varieties planted and the soil, in a perpetual quest for the best identity to give to their wines. In biodynamic viticulture, which is a given here... The complantation is the great particularity of the Marcel Deiss estate, which practices the art of associating the grape varieties on the same terroir to reveal it at its best, as did their Alsatian ancestors elsewhere.
