Au Capcéu - Moelleux
A clear and demonstrative fruitiness on a rather candied register, perfectly balanced between liquor and acidity. A great wine!
Au Capcèu definitely makes the sweet wines of Jurançon a must. Notes of tangerine, spices, quince paste, fresh apricot, salted butter, the aromas follow one another and collide for an almost endless pleasure.
This is an expression of the strength and grandeur of the sweet wines of our Pyrenean piedmont. This cuvée shows off the terroir that nourishes it and signs the vintage, it is recognisable everywhere.
Its aromatic aestheticism is tinged with candied fruits such as fig, apricot and tangerine. This bouquet will evolve with ageing towards honeyed notes, or even truffle notes for certain vintages.
Its taste will always be balanced between volume, liquor and freshness.
For this wine, the Petit Manseng grape variety was sorted and selected by our grape pickers on dedicated plots, in search of advanced over-ripeness of the berries, until the end of autumn.
The vinification and maturation require observation and patience, for 5 seasons in oak barrels
Domaine Camin Larredya is run by Jean-Marc Grussaute, who took over from his parents in 1988, with the aim of pushing ever further towards the quality of the blends and vinifications. The vineyard has 9.5 hectares of vines certified in Organic Agriculture Agrocert, of which 4 are cultivated in terraces planted with gros manseng (27%), petit manseng (65%), petit courbu and camaralet (8%).
