Magnum GC - Grand Cèdre
The Magnum Grand Cèdre GC 2014 is at the top of the Cahors production. Rated 18/20 by the RVF!
"The ageing is mastered and just right in this very concentrated wine. Fruity and ashy, the nose already imposes the future aromatic power. The mouth is ample, with elegant tannins that are still a little rigid. The spices emerge with finesse and introduce a sapid and subtly saline length 18/20 RVF Guide 2018
Now managed organically, the vineyard of Château du Cèdre has never produced such great wines as it does today. A perfectionist winemaker, Pascal Verhaeghe has no equal when it comes to reaching heights of finesse and balance, and his talent places the "GC" cuvée at the top of Cahors production.
The 2014 "GC" vintage belongs to the gotha of the great red wines of the French vineyard. Harvested at perfect maturity, the grapes have given this colossus a dense substance and a surprisingly greedy fruit texture. The wine is fine and concentrated at the same time, with a great smoothness of texture. It expresses black fruit, mint and cocoa, and the tannins coat the mouth like a light fabric. The wine also reveals a minerality that is very characteristic of the Cuvée GC, which lengthens the finish into an infinite length.
Wonderful to drink young with red meat or to keep for many years in the cellar

The Estate Château du Cèdre
