An 18 year old single malt, aged in bourbon and sherry casks, of great finesse and elegance and slightly peaty. The whisky has not been filtered and is bottled at 46°, which preserves a maximum of flavour.

Springbank is the only family-run distillery in Campbeltown that does all of its own whisky making. Each Springbank single malt, even the youngest, offers an astonishing range of aromas, combining fruitiness, maltiness, peat, with notes of spice and sometimes iodine. All this with power and also great elegance. A must for any self-respecting whisky lover.

This 18 year old has a delicate nose with light peat, floral and then more animal notes.
Mouth: Mellow attack, then becomes more spicy. The peaty and vegetal aromas are less obvious than on the nose, more melted with the malt and spices. The whole is harmonious and well spiced, with a power that keeps increasing...
Colour : Golden yellow.
Long lasting finish ending with a nice astringency

Alcohol level: 46°.

Origin : Campbeltown
The town of Campbeltown, once the undisputed capital of Scotch whisky, is situated at the tip of the Mull of Kintyre peninsula, in the West of Scotland, close to the Isle of Islay.

The Estate Le Versant
