The Estate Le Clos du Caillou

The Clos du Caillou estate has the particularity of being an enclave adjacent to the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation area. The vineyard is made up of 44 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and 9 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape, planted for the most part in 1956. It is composed of the 13 grape varieties authorised for the production of a Châteauneuf du Pape, the Grenache grape variety is the majority for the red wines, followed by Syrah, while the clairette rose, the grenache blanc and the roussanne share the majority of the white grape varieties. The soils here are particularly rich, sandy or pebbly, making it possible to produce wines of exemplary aromatic complexity.
All these specificities, gathered at the heart of the Clos du Caillou estate, allow us to offer very high quality Côtes du Rhône wines, such as the magnificent Quartz vintage, which demonstrates the richness of these exceptional terroirs. In addition, Sylvie Vacheron and Bruno Gaspard have been converting the estate to organic farming since 2006. The 2010 vintage was the first to benefit from the organic label (AB), which completes the quality of the work undertaken for decades. An estate to be followed closely, with all the qualities to produce the best... Discover the best vintages on the Passionnés du Vin website; Bouquet des garrigues, Quartz, Safres, Cuvée réserve; all of these vintages will brighten up your taste buds (in moderation) and go wonderfully well with a multitude of dishes, for an exceptional tasting experience.

The Estate Stéphane Tissot

The Domaine André et Mireille Tissot of Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot was created in 1962 and is located in Montigny-les-Arsures, a small town close to Arbois, the capital of Jura wines. Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte officially took over the estate in 1990.

Convinced of the benefits of the cleanest possible cultivation, the talented winegrower has endeavoured since the beginning to convert all his vines to organic cultivation (certification in 1999) and then to biodynamic cultivation since 2004, on the 50 hectares that make up his vineyard. The production of his own compost, the use of various herbal teas, everything is done to give the vines new vigour in order to bring out all the minerality of the terroir.
Because apart from his desire to produce natural wines, far from all the stereotypes of France and Navarre..., Stéphane Tissot's ambition is above all to give his wines their full dimension and to reveal the best of these magnificent Jura terroirs

Lovers of great Chardonnays are not mistaken and praise Stéphane Tissot's wines for their remarkable purity and precision. The greatest tasters confirm this, in particular the Revue du Vin de France, which has awarded him 3 stars in its famous green guide and which salutes the performance of the winegrower and his complete and coherent range; Chardonnay Les Graviers, Vin jaune En Spois, Trousseau Singulier or the brand new Chateau-Chalon cuvée; you are guaranteed to taste cuvées which are among the very best in the Jura.

As a highlight, Stéphane Tissot has created the Clos de la Tour de Curon cuvée, produced on a parcel of 72 ares of completely cleared, south and south-west facing Bajocian limestone scree. A micro-cuvée that demonstrates once again that it is possible to produce jewels on this Jura land.

Given the philosophy, the determination and the rapid progress of the young winemaker, we can think that the estate will surprise us again in the future.
