Momo Sauvignon Blanc
The fruit is crunchy, a delight! Pale colour, with a light grey tint. Aromas of tropical fruit and citrus with a hint of minerality. The palate is rich in texture and strong flavours of tropical fruit and ripe grapes. The finish is clear and fresh.
MOMO, which means offspring in Maori, is a wine from the Seresin estate in Marlborough.
Reflecting this heritage, MOMO is made from ripe grapes grown organically in a dedicated vineyard and follows traditional winemaking practices.
MOMO Sauvignon Blanc is made from fruit grown in vineyards on the plains of the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The Sauvignon was picked between late at night and early morning on 27 April to ensure the fruit was fresh when it reached the vineyard. After a low temperature fermentation to retain all the character of the fruit, the wine was left in the lees to give it greater depth of flavour and complexity.
Food pairing: Delicious with all types of seafood and summer salads. This wine makes an excellent refreshing aperitif.
In New Zealand's Wairau Valley, near the beautiful Malborough Fjords, is the Seresin Estate, owned by Michael Seresin. A cinematographer by profession, Michael's passion for wine production was sparked by his many visits to Italy and France.
