More info:
Marco de Bartoli is considered one of the most innovative winemakers in modern Sicilian viticulture thanks to his commitment to the use of traditional grape varieties and vinification.
He runs two estates: The first is near the village of Marsala at the western end of the island of Sicily, where he produces the famous fortified wines of the same name, as well as
still white and red wines.
The other estate is on the small island of Pantelleria, in the southeast of Sicily. Marco de Bartoli has named this second estate 'Bukkuram', which means 'father of the vine' in Arabic. From here he produces exceptional sweet wines made from sun-dried Muscat of Alexandria.
