Its colour is dense, deep, ruby. Opaque due to its concentration.
The nose reveals notes of black fruit, violet, redcurrant, rhubarb, some roasted notes and musk. A beautiful maturity and freshness at the same time.
In the mouth the attack is supple and fruity. The tannins are well present, proof of a beautiful maturity. A very wide range of aromas follows: from ripe fruit to liquorice, a real "crunchy" sensation is revealed in the mouth. The finish is long, on spices...
The estate:
The history of the estate is like its wines: singular. In 1926, Don Angelo Cetto, an Italian immigrant, settled in the Guadalupe Valley in Baja California and acquired three vineyards: Rancho Grande, Chico and Alfada.
He devoted himself with great care to the cultivation of the grapes.
A few years later, he obtained another vineyard: Escondido, located 30 km from Tijuana. The estate now covers more than 600 hectares. It is the bearer of a European tradition that combines art and technology, and its products are rapidly becoming known. The originality of this site is a major factor: the sun of Baja California is tempered by the sea breezes of the Pacific, which contribute to keeping the nights cool, allowing the cultivation of quality grapes. L.A. CETTO wines also owe much to their oenologist, Camilio Magoni, who graduated in Italy. Today, the L.A CETTO family has consolidated its position as a pioneer in Mexican oenology.
