A very successful Amphibolite; as taut and mineral as one could imagine, even tracing, with this saline and lemony mid and end of mouth. Decidedly the perfect match for oysters and other seafood. The sea straight from the earth!

Always a pleasure to sip this melon, both sanguine and carnal. It should be uncorked in its early youth to enjoy its energetic structure to the full.

Amphibolite is a Muscadet signed Jo Landron, coming as its name indicates from a terroir of amphibolites; very solid metamorphic rocks which give the wine a deep minerality. Jo Landron tries to intervene as little as possible to preserve all the qualities of this terroir in the bottle; manual harvesting, fermentation with indigenous yeasts without any chaptalisation. The wine is matured on its lees for 4 months in order to keep all the freshness and energy in the finished product and then bottled by gravity without any filtration.

The Estate Dujac

The Estate Jo Landron

The Estate Sol Payré

Five generations of winegrowers have succeeded one another at the estate, from Gustave Payré to Jean-Claude and Bertrand Sol. The Domaine is located in Elne, in the heart of the Aspres, in Roussillon, at the foot of the Pyrenees, the natural border with Spain. Reasoned protection, yield control and maturity are our watchwords! The particularity of the Domaine comes from the different terroirs with in the south, in the Aspres (Elne and Passa), about fifty hectares on clay-limestone soils, greedy wines with character and in the north, in the Agly valley (Maury), about ten hectares spread over Schist, Granite and Gneiss, here it's the minerality that speaks, the fineness of the tannins and the complexity of the aromas
