Les Grands Teppes est un Pinot Noir d’une élégance rare qui combine finesse et profondeur avec une fraîcheur vibrante et plaisante. La robe se présente limpide, d’un rouge rubis lumineux agrémenté de légers reflets grenat, témoignant d’une belle maturité. Au nez, les arômes s’ouvrent sur une intense palette de fruits rouges frais, comme la cerise et la framboise, accompagnés de délicates touches florales rappelant la pivoine et la rose, ainsi qu’un léger souffle d’épices douces. En bouche, l’attaque est souple et délicate, portée par une acidité équilibrée qui dynamise le vin. Le milieu de bouche s’étire avec des tanins fins et soyeux, soutenant un fruit pur et gourmand. La finale, longue et fraîche, laisse une belle persistance sur des notes épicées et un boisé discret.
Terroir : terroir argilo-calcaire riche en minéraux.
Vinfication et élevage : la vinification s’effectue en cuves inox afin de préserver la pureté aromatique, avec une macération maîtrisée qui extrait la matière sans excès. L’élevage est réalisé en fûts de chêne, principalement anciens.
Accords mets/vin : volaille rôtie aux herbes, filet de truite en papillote, risotto aux champignons sauvages.

The Estate Jean-François Ganevat
Jean-François Ganevat, known as Fanfan, returned to his roots in 1998, to the Combe de Rotalier, after having been cellar master at the Domaine Morey in Chassagne Montrachet. Each year he makes around forty cuvées from parcel selections of 25 different grape varieties on 9 hectares of clay, schist and marl, with very old vines, 80 years old for the yellow one and a hundred years old for others.
He began by applying an organic practice which led him to a biodynamic culture in 2006 in order to achieve his objective of making wines as natural as possible, without sulphur, vinified with indigenous yeasts.
Concentrated, racy, of great purity, long, broad, salivating, there is no shortage of adjectives to describe the wines of Jean-François Ganevat, which regularly reach the top in whites for the Chardonnay and Savagnin varieties, whether or not they are oaked, such as Grandes Teppes, Chalasses Marnes Bleues or in reds with his famous Trousseau.
As proof, the cuvée "les chalasses vieilles vignes de 1902" vintage 2011 was elected wine of the year in 2014 by the very respected guide Bettane et Desseauve, no less!
