Deep, powerful, fleshy, a great Burgundy that will evolve towards animal, spicy and leathery notes of great complexity!
A ruby colour with shades of magenta and purple, quite dark. When mature, the bouquet expresses animal and spicy notes, undergrowth and prune, evolving with age towards musk, leather, fur and mushroom.
On the palate, the attack is lively, the balance pleasant with supple tannins and a tasty roundness.
Power and fullness demand to be matched in the same register. The square structure of virile tannins imposes roast lamb, rib of beef and game, both feathered and especially furry. Autumn or winter dishes, with their associated atmospheres, confirm the deep and fleshy personality of this great wine; for example, beef and braised pork, or beautiful red meats. In addition, fine raw milk cheeses with washed rind always do it justice. Serving temperature: 15 to 16 °C
