Magnum Les Croix Vieilles Vignes
A Crozes Hermitage with exceptional purity of tannins and an incredible aromatic palette. A perfect example of what a biodynamic wine can offer.
On the palate, it unfolds flavours of ripe red fruit, fresh pepper and smoked meat, with a lovely intensity.
The Cuvée Vieilles Vignes "Les Croix", Crozes Hermitage, 100% Syrah is made from vines over 50 years old and aged for 12 months on fine lees.
Les Croix is the best terroir of the estate with 15% clay and 1.5m deep soil before the limestone subsoil.
The Domaine Les Bruyères is entirely run in organic agriculture (certified by ECOCERT) and biodynamic, i.e. taking into consideration the astral influences, the rhythm of nature and the use of homeopathic type plant preparations (certified by BIODYVIN). It is located in the heart of the Crozes Hermitage appellation, on a terroir of clay-limestone terraces with a soil drained by disintegrated pebbles.
On the 28 ha of vineyard, the Syrah grape variety, the soul of this appellation, is worked with passion by David Reynaud with respect for the vines and the balance of the fauna and flora. He is also a follower of "eating and drinking well" and these wines are in his image, combining the subtlety of the aromas with the power and beauty of the character of the nectar.
