Crozes-Hermitage Beaumont

The Domaine des Bruyères is located in the heart of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation on a terroir of detrital pebbles. It is entirely managed in organic and biodynamic agriculture (BIODYVIN), by David Reynaud, with respect for the vines and the balance of the fauna and flora. Biodynamic agriculture is characterised by its consideration of astral influences, the rhythm of nature and the use of homeopathic-type plant preparations, aimed at rebalancing and revitalising the plant rather than curing it in the event of illness. The Syrah grape variety plays a predominant role on the Bruyères estate (about 87%), as this grape variety is the soul of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. In addition to this main appellation, the estate also produces some Saint-Joseph, Cornas and vins de Pays. The cellar of the Domaine des Bruyères is entirely underground, allowing the grapes to be received by gravity. The vat room is made of raw concrete for the red wine, to which it provides oxygen to help the alcoholic fermentation and allows for the proper aging of what? The white wine benefits from a stainless steel vat room for cold settling and then an egg-shaped concrete vat and barrel for fermentation and ageing. The entire cellar is designed to respect the grapes and the wine. Over the years, all the appellations of the Domaine des Bruyères have reached an important level in terms of purity of fruit, caress of tannin and elegance. The woody notes are better integrated and perfectly respect the freshness of the wine. Here is further proof that an organic approach, when it also takes care of the vinification, is irreplaceable in order to brilliantly express its terroir.
