Camille Lapierre joined her brother at the domaine after having worked here and there with different winemakers. Mathieu gave her carte blanche to choose a vat of her choice and vinify it as she wished. A wine, full of fruit, full of finesse.
In the Beaujolais region, Marcel was one of the first to make magnificent natural wines. He was well known to lovers of good wine and recognised by his peers in this world. His son Mathieu continues the adventure today with the same determination, and the experience of many vintages vinified alongside his father. The motto of the estate is to let the Gamay express itself fully and authentically on its favourite terroir. Located in Villié-Morgon, the vines have an average age of 45 years and are planted at high density to favour competition and rooting.
He ploughs his vines, does not use weed killers or chemical fertilisers, sorts his grapes, and limits yields. His vinification is without heating, without yeasting, without sulphur and without chaptalisation. The wine is aged in Burgundy barrels.

The Estate Marcel Lapierre
The Marcel Lapierre estate covers 13 hectares and produces an average of 80,000 bottles per vintage. The vineyard, planted exclusively with Gamay Noir, is made up of old vines with an average age of 60 years, including 2 hectares in the prestigious Côte du Py sector, which is one of the best terroirs in Morgon. Today, the vineyard is still run by the family, with the third generation taking over and perpetuating the philosophy of these high quality natural wines over the years. You can now find the best vintages of the Marcel Lapierre estate on the Passionnés Du Vin website in bottles or even magnums. This is an opportunity to discover a high quality Beaujolais under the Morgon PDO, in a classic or Marcel Lapierre cuvée, and based on an entirely natural production, wines with qualities highly appreciated by connoisseurs.
