La Tour Carnet
Located on the edge of the Saint-Julien and Pauillac appellations, this 4th Cru Classé has belonged to Bernard Magrez since 2000. The 123 hectares of vines are planted on a sloping, clayey and very chalky soil, covered with gravel. The grape varieties used at La Tour Carnet are unusual for the Médoc, with a majority of Merlot (56%) and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the rest being Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The great oenologist Michel Rolland advises the estate.
Modern in style, the wines of La Tour Carnet are characterised by their generosity, volume and density.
