"A patisserie nose and a mouth still under the imprint of its breeding, hence this little note of pastry. A beautiful management of the liquor because if the volume is there, the wine displays a beautiful finesse despite a small sweet sensation which underlines the richness of the vintage." 18/20 RVF Guide 2019

Of all the 1er Crus Classés of Sauternes and Barsac, the prestigious Château Guiraudis the first to have obtained its organic certification (2011 vintage). Guiraud is in the hands of four great personalities: Robert Peugeot, Olivier Bernard of Domaine de Chevalier, Stephan von Niepperg of Château Canon-La-Gaffelière, and Xavier Planty, director and oenologist of Guiraud since 1988. Château Guiraud has about a hundred hectares of vines, on a beautiful terroir of gravel, sand and clay.

Made from a majority of Semillon, with a significant proportion of Sauvignon Blanc (around 35%), Guiraud's wine has the profile of a fine modern Sauternes: very ripe and opulent fruit, great finesse, preserved freshness.

MILLESIME 2015

"After 3 rather cool years, 2015 is a warm year! The magic scenario began in the spring with high temperatures leading to early flowering. The heat of June and July allowed for rapid ripening and the more reasonable temperatures of early August came at the right time. The mastery of organic farming allowed us to pick the first botrytised grapes on September 7th! Wind, humidity in the morning thanks to the Ciron, and heat in the afternoon were the ideal conditions for optimal and homogeneous concentration. Within a month, the harvest was in. Everything went perfectly, and the vintage promises to be an anthology" Xavier PLANTY, co-owner and manager
