A superb Cru Classé recognised by wine lovers for its consistency, Grand Corbin Despagne is owned by the passionate François Despagne, whose family has been in Saint-Emilion for over 150 years. The vineyard of almost 29 hectares has been cultivated organically since 2004, certified since the 2013 vintage. The 47 parcels of vines are carefully vinified independently to express the best. The vineyard is composed of 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Classical in style, but never overt, Grand Corbin Despagne's wine offers fine truffle notes from its iron dross terroir on the edge of the Pomerol appellation. Elegant and racy, with a tight tannic structure and bright fruit, it boasts a very good ageing capacity.

Ageing: 50% new barrels, 40% one-year old barrels, 10% two-year old barrels
