A huge success on this great vintage at Margaux!
"2015 plays the card of the exuberance, with a very round, very mature, very expressive fruit. The wood coats it well, but it is not quite melted yet. A set that will harmonize with the time." 17.5/20 RVF Guide 2019
One of the more discreet of the prestigious Margaux appellation, which is worth a visit for its wines of great classicism. Created in 1754 by Jacques Boyd, which the family originally from Scotland had emigrated to France, the vineyard as such comes from the sharing of the Château Cantenac Brown, reached just after the classification of 1855. Château Boyd-Cantenac is quote family since 1932, today represented by Lucien Guillemet. The cru has 17 hectares of vineyards dominated by cabernet sauvignon, on a superb graves terroir.
Raised in wood casks up, Boyd-Cantenac wines display the characteristic style of Margaux: a pure and delicate fruit tinged with spice, tight tannins, lots of freshness and a great distinction of all. Their ability to guard is very interesting.
