A vintage 2014 characterized by balance, finesse, elegance and a great ability to guard.
The wine was raised 18-20 months in totally new barrels.
The vintage gave a lovely wine of dark, intense and beautiful color. Château Léoville Poyferré has a nose to the scent of black fruit with a touch of cocoa. The entry in the mouth is silky and luscious finely. As usual, the estate produces a fine wine, not too much on the power, but having still of the roundness in mid-palate. The wine has a good length with delicate tannins and a nice woody finish.
The Château Léoville Poyferré conceals very favourable soil and ideal climate conditions to develop great wines as Leoville Poyferré. First, these wines are characterized by a great complexity of aromas ranging from the red fruit (cherry, cherry) to mushrooms for old vintages. Léoville Poyferré develops a sumptuous velvety and a lot of elegance and finesse, all combined with a very high capacity to aging.
