Black elderberry or great Elder, is one of the most common shrubs of Central Europe. The scent fresh and fruity its small white flowers that appear in early summer, is immediately recognizable. These turn into first red, then black, and shiny berries, which give a Burgundy colored juice.
Not edible raw, elderberries can be eaten after cooking or fermentation. The flowers and berries rich in vitamin C are used to produce many juices, syrups, teas and frosts. The spirits of these ripe berries is a particularly sought after speciality.
This black elderberry comes from lower Austria where it is cultivated in optimal weather conditions and without any treatment. The berries are picked at full ripeness, by hand, and are macerated overnight in the Arborist.
Natural bays 0%mash is distilled twice, in a copper still and very gently. The noble heart of heater (it takes up to 55 kg of berries to make 1 litre of brandy) is then aging for a minimum of ten years to reach its fullness. Alcohol loses his strength and his power over the years, leaving the place with delicate fruity aromas of black berries, underlined to creamy notes of spice and chocolate.

-Allow time to time with extended ageing for blooming brandies. Once distilled, those brandies age very long years to develop unique harmony and the aromatic expression that characterize
-Meticulous checks carried out at all stages of production with, among others, tastings and frequent tests to guarantee the exceptional quality of these spirits. Only those that meet a very strict requirements, are finally bottled
-These spirits are never filtered to not alter the quality of the final product
-Power and sweetness in perfect harmony. Long aged, these spirits are very gentle to drink despite their high level of alcohol
