Simply "the best pure malt to the world" for Whisky Magazine!
Color: old gold with green reflections.
Nose: closed, high heat. Mix of frangipane, of heady flowers (iris, honeysuckle), candied citrus (lemon, orange) and salt, it is particularly powerful. It evolves on vanilla, Oak nine and menthol and herbs (fresh tobacco). Finally, licorice borders on the peat and the gentian gives it a pleasant bitterness.
Taste: sweet, balanced. Placed forward, its spices (clove, nutmeg) are growing in strength. The praline and dry fruits (almonds, cashews) calm his ardour. Now, the ripe fruit (PEAR, Apple), vanilla and exotic fruits (pineapple, Khaki) can express themselves freely. Citrus fruits are bursting with sugar.
Finish: long, tender. It is languid on freshly cut grass and green licorice and anise. The peat is more than a memory. Gourmet, it extends on the mocha, acacia honey and Mint green. Saline character takes little by little the ascendant.
A real bundle of fun.
